We hired Focus on Flooring to do some renovations on our finished basement, which included putting up drywall from previous work done to fix a basement leak, changing the floors from carpet to laminate, changing the stairs from carpeted to wood, completely re-doing the dungeon that we had for a laundry room into a nice neat space (drywalled, floored, painted and re-plumbed and wired). And finally everything was repainted. From the very start, Ralph helped us guide through the process of what to pick, how to pick it, gave a pretty accurate estimate (in fact everything ended up being exactly as planned, except for the laundry room where we requested extra work after the work has started). Kris (who did all the drywall, framing, floors etc) and Wesley (who painted everything) were a pleasure to work with. They were super detail-oriented and things that I did not even think of were taken care of.

This was the second flooring project I got Focus on Flooring to complete for my rental property and they didn’t disappoint. I had the hallway and three rooms (tile and carpet) replaced by laminate plus underpad to reduce noise and they did an exceptional job. Quick given the amount of work, great product and they redid the shoemolds so there was nothing I had to do. Ralph is a great guy, accommodating and straight forward. I visited his shop to pick out the flooring and he was so helpful even when I changed my mind on the selection. Highly recommend this company!

Ralph and his team did an amazing job replacing all of the the hardwood, tiles, and stairs in our new home. Ralph provided a detailed estimate outlining the cost for all aspects of the job, and accommodated all of my requests throughout the process. The quality of the workmanship was very impressive. Ralf and his team of professionals did an outstanding job in renovating, sanding, and staining our 50+ year old hardwood floors. The finished product is superb; family and friends compare it to a brand new floor at a quarter of the price. Ralf is very attentive and kept us up to date every step of the way. He answered all our questions and made personally sure of the quality of the work. Minor concerns were addressed in an expedient and effective way, with a smile. Cost was completely consistent with his quote and the work was done on time. For us, this was a unique experience with a contractor (we found him on Homestars!). We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. We wish we could give him more than ten stars for an A+ job.

I called Ralph a few weeks ago for a last-minute tile install for our kitchen and powder room and was amazed how quickly he responded and got things done and at a Reasonable price. Installing tiles I’m sure we all know anybody can do that! But to get it done properly you really do need a professional who knows what he’s doing . I was more nervous about how well the levelling would be done, and if the tiles would be cut proper, making sure that the grout was applied evenly and things of that sort . People out there need to realize a bad tile job could be very horrific !! This is our home and it meant a lot for me to hire the right people to do this job thank goodness I called Ralph he sent me Chris and Matthew to get the job done and they arrived promptly every day and completed the job within 2 days ! These guys are hard workers who actually know what the heck they’re doing. when it comes to renovations, I am a very hard person to please but they met my expectations 1000%. thank you Ralph for sending me the right people! You will definitely be my tile guy for life !
